Don’t Congratulate Me for Van Jones’ Resignation

Beck: In case your only source of news is ABC, CBS, NBC and/or The New York Times or, as the White House was hoping, you were out doing things with your family this long weekend and didn't check the news (which was released after midnight Sunday so it wouldn't be in any papers) the green jobs "czar," special adviser to the president, Van Jones has resigned.

But here's The One Thing: My phone, e-mail and Twitter were hammered all weekend with people offering congratulations. First, let me say I'm not the one to congratulate. I can go on and on about this stuff, but if you don't care and it doesn't connect with the American people, what I say doesn't matter.

Beck: Van Jones has apologized for using a disparaging word to describe Republicans.

Who cares?

I couldn't care less what he thinks about members of any political party. My concern is this guy's vision for America as a "special adviser" to the president. I mean, especially since "personnel is policy."

Beck: Do you believe George Soros and his blogging minions that Van Jones just had a few "youthful indiscretions," but is now a fully converted capitalist? That he is qualified to make decisions at the highest levels of this government or at least to be involved in them? Or do you take Jones at his word, when he said: "I'm willing to forego the cheap satisfaction of the radical pose for the deep satisfaction of radical ends."

President Obama’s Radical Advisers Are Fighting for Revolution

Beck: The most transparent White House in the history of the world still hasn't answered the questions we asked last week. You know, tough questions like: "Why does the president have so many Marxists, socialists, radicals and self-proclaimed communists advising him?"

I'm still hopeful there is a simple explanation. Maybe President Obama just wasn't aware of their radical beliefs. After all, he sat in Reverend Wright's pews for 20 years and didn't catch on to the fact that Wright isn't too fond of America.

But here's The One Thing: This isn't an accident. Obama's radical advisers are there for a reason: They're fighting a revolution — just not the kind with the tri-cornered hats.

Beck: Is it unreasonable to think this government would ask you to spy on your neighbors, in light of these recent stories:

— Flag.gov e-mail asking for tips on "fishy" behavior

— Cookies on your computer that track whenever you've been on a government Web site — this used to be illegal but that was changed

— The government is using outside companies to track and contact you. Are they gathering information on you? I know that on "cash for clunkers" they didn't trust the dealers.

Speak Without Fear

Beck: On global warming, people didn't speak because they didn't want to be seen as a Holocaust denier or a flat-Earther. So they passed "harmless legislation." Now we have half a billion dollars in the hands of a communist revolutionary.

Now, because no one in their right mind is against diversity, people will be afraid of being called a racist or a bigot or a hatemonger.

Speak without fear or more "harmless legislation" will be passed and you will not be able to speak and you will experience the kind of fear that no one in this country has experienced before.

Beck: If you truly ask what Jefferson called honest questions, with a sincere heart, the answers may take you to very uncomfortable places.

Nobody wants to think our president is a bad guy; President Obama actually seems like a likeable guy. And he may be the greatest guy ever. But is he in step with you and what you believe this country is?

When you hear the evidence, you have a decision to make: Will I bury my head in the sand, refusing to believe because it doesn't fit my agenda or my comfort level? Or will I hold to the truth whatever it is, so I may be a part of the solution and not an enabler to the problem.

Reasonable Questions for an Unreasonable Time

But here are some things that almost all of us can agree just don't make sense: How does spending trillions of dollars fix the economy? Can we spend our way out of debt?
